Frequently Asked Questions

Don’t see your question below?
Give us a call, we’re happy to help.

How do I know what mobility equipment I need?

You don't have to figure that out on your own. Contact us by phone or email, drop by our store, or book a free in-home demo and we'll ask you the right questions about your daily routine, your home, and your mobility needs. If you book an in-home demo, we'll bring a shortlist of devices that match your needs. You can try the equipment in your own space, and we'll help you decide what your best options are based on your needs, budget, and funding. We keep trying until we find the right fit.

Where do you do mobility service appointments?

We come to you. Wheelchair Works serves Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, Langley, Aldergrove, Surrey, and Coquitlam, whether you live at home or a care facility. Don’t hesitate to contact us, whether you need a repair, a maintenance visit, or an in-home demo. If you're outside our typical service area, get in touch! We may still be able to help depending on your situation.

Will insurance cover the price of my mobility device?

It depends on your plan, but there's a good chance some or all of it is covered. We’ll find out for you. Wheelchair Works works with private extended health insurers, RAHA, NIHB, Veterans Affairs, ICBC, and WorkSafeBC. We handle the application process at no charge. And while you wait for approval, we can provide a rental so you’re not without support. Learn more about funding support.

I'm an OT or PT in the Fraser Valley. How can I help my clients access the equipment they need?

We work closely with occupational therapists and physiotherapists throughout the Fraser Valley.
